Blood
Blood tells us what’s happening in your body right now.
It shows what’s circulating, including nutrients, metabolic markers, thyroid markers, inflammation and hormones, giving us a broad snapshot of your current health.

What standard labs miss
When you feel off, bloodwork alone rarely tells you how to address it.
Standard labs
Thyroid checked, basic labs “fine.” Advice: get more sleep.
What LERA found
Low iron stores, a cortisol pattern that wasn’t supporting daytime energy, and low gut diversity.
Advice: Rebuild iron stores, steady meals, earlier caffeine, gut support, and a reset sleep rhythm.
Standard labs
Hormones never tested. The only option offered: birth control.
What LERA found
Progesterone low relative to estrogen, cortisol high later in the day, and unstable blood sugar.
Advice: Steadier meals with more protein and fiber, better sleep, regular movement, and targeted hormonal support.
Standard labs
Basic labs “normal.”
What LERA found
A stress response that stayed switched on into the evening, blood-sugar swings, and gut inflammation.
Advice: Consistent meals, earlier exercise, better sleep cues, daily practices to calm the nervous system, and resolving the gut inflammation.
Standard labs
Glucose and A1c not alarming. Advice: eat less, move more.
What LERA found
Insulin showed her body already struggling with blood sugar, plus inflammation and a stress-driven cortisol pattern.
Advice: Eat differently, not less: more protein and fiber, fewer refined carbs, strength training, and walks after meals.
Standard labs
Colonoscopy all clear.
What LERA found
Low beneficial bacteria, poor diversity, low short-chain fatty acids, and digestion that wasn’t working efficiently.
Advice: Correct the bacterial imbalance first, support digestion, then rebuild a more diverse gut.
Standard labs
Poor sleep is usually treated with medication.
What LERA found
A cortisol rhythm too low in the morning and too high at bedtime, plus blood-sugar instability overnight.
Advice: Rework meal timing, move caffeine earlier, cut evening alcohol, and build a steady evening routine.
Standard labs
Standard blood tests: “perfect health.” Tylenol and Advil became indispensable.
What LERA found
Unsteady blood sugar, progesterone low relative to estrogen, and a possible food trigger.
Advice: Consistent meals, blood-sugar support, attention to her hormones, and a structured test of the suspected food trigger.
Standard labs
Standard labs: nothing significant.
What LERA found
Elevated systemic inflammation, gut dysbiosis and intestinal inflammation, and possible food triggers.
Advice: Reduce inflammatory inputs, rebalance the gut, remove likely trigger foods, and rebuild movement gradually.
Standard labs
New skin-care products and topical treatments.
What LERA found
Low microbial diversity, gut dysbiosis, changes in immune activity in the gut, and possible food triggers.
Advice: Restore gut balance and use a short elimination and reintroduction to find the foods that matter.
Standard labs
Regular cycles, ovulating. Keep waiting.
What LERA found
Progesterone low relative to estrogen, low iron stores, early insulin changes, and gut dysbiosis.
Advice: Improve nutrient status, blood-sugar control, gut health, sleep, and stress resilience.

“I just got into my results and just wanted to say that it was the most informative and intuitive analysis of health data that I've ever received. I still need to go through in depth and have questions but at first pass it was awesome.”
Blood + saliva + stool
Blood
It shows what’s circulating, including nutrients, metabolic markers, thyroid markers, inflammation and hormones, giving us a broad snapshot of your current health.
Saliva
It lets us see patterns and rhythms, particularly in hormones like cortisol, that a single blood draw can’t capture.
Stool
It gives us insight into digestion, inflammation, the microbiome and other factors that can affect how your body handles nutrients and hormones.
LERA connects those signals with your symptoms, history and lifestyle so we can see patterns that any one test alone may miss, and determine what to address first.
What we test
Bloodwork reveals important details, but without saliva and stool it’s a bit like buying a pair of jeans, by only looking at the label.
Area
Typical routine care
LERA testing
Blood sugar
Typical routine care: Glucose only; HbA1c may be added based on age/risk; insulin rarely checked
LERA testing: Glucose + HbA1c + fasting insulin
Looks beyond glucose alone to show both blood sugar control and how much insulin the body may be producing to maintain it, helping reveal early metabolic changes before glucose or A1c becomes abnormal.
Thyroid
Typical routine care: If tested, typically starts with TSH; Free T4 may follow an abnormal TSH
LERA testing: TSH + Free T4 + Free T3 + thyroid antibodies
Provides a more complete picture of thyroid health, including whether the thyroid is receiving the right signals, producing adequate hormone, converting it into the form the body can use, and showing signs of autoimmune activity.
Iron status
Typical routine care: CBC may flag anemia; ferritin/iron only added when anemia is found
LERA testing: Ferritin + iron
Helps identify low iron stores that may exist even before anemia develops, an important consideration for women experiencing fatigue, heavy periods, hair changes, or reduced exercise tolerance.

FAQ
Your doctor is the right person for diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up on concerning results. An AI tool can help explain what a marker measures, but it may miss context or sound certain when the answer isn't clear. LERA reads your blood, saliva and stool results together, alongside your symptoms, health history, and goals. You'll know which findings to focus on first, and your plan keeps adjusting as your results change over time.
Function is a great way to see what's in your blood. But many of the reasons women feel off don't show up in blood alone. You need to understand your cortisol rhythm throughout the day, how your gut is processing hormones and absorbing nutrients, and if there's any inflammation. LERA reads your blood, saliva and stool as one system. That lets us tell you not just what's out of range, but why, and what to fix first. Otherwise it's like buying jeans by your waist size alone. Already have recent labs? Show Us Your Labs is an easy way in. For $149, Lynn reviews your results with you one-on-one and helps you see which findings matter most. It's not the full LERA picture, but it's a good place to start. If you join within 30 days, we'll take $49 off your membership. See Show Us Your Labs
For now, yes. LERA does not yet integrate outside lab results into your personalized health assessment, and we require testing to be completed within 60 days so we’re working from a current picture of your health. Just as importantly, our testing is designed specifically around female physiology. We focus on the biomarkers and patterns that are most important for understanding women’s health across hormones, metabolism, nutrients, inflammation and other interconnected systems. And we combine blood testing with saliva and stool testing to give us a much more complete view than bloodwork alone. The goal isn’t to repeat testing you don’t need. It’s to make sure we have the right data, at the right time, viewed through the right lens to build your LERA plan.
Because your health isn’t static. Your hormones, metabolism, nutrient status, gut health, stress patterns and other markers can change over time, sometimes long before you notice a meaningful difference in how you feel. Your first year with LERA establishes a comprehensive baseline. Testing again allows us to see what’s improving, what’s changing and where something may be heading in the wrong direction. That longitudinal view is one of the most powerful parts of LERA. Instead of starting from scratch every time something feels off, we can follow your health over time and continually refine your plan based on how your body is actually changing.
Your health data is yours. It is encrypted, never sold, and never used to train outside AI models. You choose what to share and can delete it at any time.
Yes. LERAs protocols come from two decades of clinical practice and are reviewed by triple board-certified medical leadership, grounded in established clinical evidence rather than trends.
No. LERA does not diagnose conditions or prescribe treatment. We help you understand your results, ask better questions, and take informed steps, and point you to a clinician when something needs medical attention.
LERA stays with you. The years after menopause bring their own needs, from bone and heart health to energy and metabolism, and we keep adapting your plan for them. We don't prescribe HRT yet, but we help you understand your options and work alongside the clinician who does.
