Medical Disclaimer
LERA operates an organized healthcare arrangement designed to deliver whole-body care through a coordinated structure.
Clinical services are provided exclusively by LERA Medical Informatics LLC ("LMI"), a healthcare services entity. Your clinical relationship as a member is with LMI.
LMI delivers health and wellness services through a team of licensed medical practitioners, whole-body health coaches, and mindful resilience coaches, all of whom are independent contractors of LMI.
LERA Health LLC ("LERA Health") provides the technology platform, administrative services, and operational support that enable care delivery.
LERA Nutraceuticals LLC ("LN") provides LERA's proprietary professional-grade supplements.
LMI, LERA Health and LN may be referred to collectively as "LERA" where appropriate; however, clinical services and medical decision-making are provided solely by LMI.
LMI provides personalized health programs that may include clinical services, biomarker testing, education, and longitudinal support; and some non-clinical services are provided by LERA Health.
Please read this disclaimer carefully. It is intended to help you understand the scope and limits of LERA's services.
Not Emergency Care
LMI does not provide emergency medical services.
If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room.
Scope of Care
LMI provides functional medicine-informed care focused on whole-body health, including areas such as hormones, metabolism, gut health, inflammation, stress physiology, and related systems.
Clinical services, when provided, are delivered by licensed medical practitioners in accordance with applicable state laws.
LMI's services are not intended to replace your primary care provider or other specialists involved in your care. We encourage you to maintain relationships with your existing healthcare providers and to continue routine preventive screenings and evaluations.
No Guarantees or Universal Outcomes
Health outcomes vary from person to person.
LMI does not guarantee specific results, diagnoses, cures, or outcomes. Recommendations are based on available clinical information, biomarker data, and functional medicine frameworks, and are tailored to the individual. However, biology is complex, and no program works the same way for everyone.
Testing and Interpretation
LMI may include biomarker testing such as blood, saliva, or stool testing as part of your program.
Test results are interpreted in clinical context and are used to inform personalized recommendations. Laboratory results alone do not provide a complete picture of health and should not be used in isolation to make medical decisions.
Education and Information
Some content provided through LERA, including articles, educational materials, and general health information, is for informational and educational purposes only.
Educational content is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical condition, symptoms, or treatment decisions.
Medication and Supplement Use
If LMI recommends or discusses medications or supplements, those recommendations are made based on the information available at the time and clinical judgment.
You should not start, stop, or change any prescribed medication without consulting your prescribing provider and your primary care provider. If pregnant, you should discontinue usage of supplements unless guided by your primary care provider.
Technology and AI Support
LERA uses technology, including rules-based systems and analytics, to support personalization and care delivery. We may use one or more systems/tools that use artificial intelligence (AI). We do not use AI applications that use your information in public-facing learning libraries and your information will not be used by such AI applications to produce results for others.
Technology is used to support, not replace, clinical judgment.
When LMI's Services May Not Be Appropriate
LMI's services may not be appropriate for all individuals or all medical conditions.
In some cases, LMI clinicians may recommend in-person evaluation, specialty care, or urgent medical attention outside the platform.
